Xinjiang Development and Reform Commission announced the coal mine construction and capacity in Xinjiang.
By the end of June 2021, there were 67 coal mines in production with an approved production capacity of 240.24 million tons per year, and there were 23 coal mines in construction with a construction scale of 59.7 million tons per year, including 14 new coal mines and 9 renovated coal mines with construction scale of 48.85 million tons and 10.85 million tons respectively.
