Ukraine's coal imports up by 13.3% YOY in Jan-Aug

Data released by General Administration of Customs of Ukraine indicated that Ukraine imported 13.06 million tons of coal in the first eight months of 2021, rising by 13.3% YOY. In particular, the import volume in August 2021 was 1.38 million tons, up by 10.4% YOY while down by 9.8% MOM.
According to the data, Russia was Ukraine's first largest import origin of coal in the first eight months of 2021 with the import volume from this country occupying 61.6% of the total. Kazakhstan was the second largest import origin with the import volume accounting for about 18% of the total. In addition, the import volume from USA accounted for about 11% of the total.
