SVOLT Energy to establish 60GWh base in Chengdu

SVOLT Energy signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the municipal government of Chengdu on September 16th to invest RMB22 billion (USD3.40 billion) to build a power battery manufacturing base of about 60GWh and westsouthern R&D base in Chengdu.
The SVOLT Energy (Chengdu) Power Battery Manufacturing and Western R&D Base will be located in Jianzhou New Town, a new district in the east part of Chengdu. Covering about 1,666,667 square meters, the project is planned to be built in three phases and each phase will have a production capacity of about 20GWh. The phase one project will have a total investment of about RMB10 billion (USD1.55 billion).
