HIUV New Materials to invest RMB2 billion into 20GW photovoltaic film projects

Shanghai HIUV New Materials Co., Ltd. announced that it planned to cooperate with the Photovoltaic Power Industry Park of Yancheng Economic Development Zone in forming a fully owned subsidiary Yancheng HIUV Applied Materials Co., Ltd. in the park to take charge of construction of a 20GW photovoltaic packing film project. The project will have a planned investment of about RMB1 billion (USD0.16 billion) and will have a designed annual production capacity of 20GW and about 200 million square meters of film.
On the same day, the company announced that it planned to cooperate with Shangrao Economic Development Zone in investing RMB1 billion (USD0.16 billion) into constructing a photovoltaic packing film project to produce matching POE and EVA films. As stage two expansion project of the company in Shangrao Economic Development Zone, the project will have a designated annual production capacity of 150 million square meters of films, able to meet demand from local photovoltaic module plants.
