According to reports, at the opening ceremony of "2021 Shanghai Jinhua Week" on July 18, 16 projects were signed, including the third-generation semiconductor silicon carbide chip project of Cengol with a total investment of RMB3.5 billion (USD539.63 million).
It's reported that the third-generation semiconductor silicon carbide chip project of Cengol has a total investment of RMB3.5 billion (USD539.63 million) to build a production line with an annual output of 220,000 pieces of 6-8 inch silicon carbide chips. The project is completed in three phases, and the annual output value can be realized about RMB4 billion (USD616.72 million) after all the three-phase projects reach production. After the project is completed, it will boost the development of upstream and downstream related industries, and is expected to drive the output value of nearly 100 billion upstream and downstream industries.
