NSSC increases domestic contract prices of stainless steel plate in July

NSSC announced on July 7 that it increased the domestic contract prices for July 2021. Specifically, it lifted base prices and alloy surcharges of SUS304 nickel-based stainless steel cold-rolled plates of thin grades by JPY10,000/t (USD90.76/t) respectively, while it kept base prices of mid-thick grades unchanged and increased alloy surcharges of mid-thick grades by JPY10,000/t (USD90.76/t). Meanwhile, it raised SUS430 chromium-based stainless steel cold-rolled plates of thin grades by JPY10,000/t (USD90.76/t) and maintained alloy surcharges stable
. This was the second consecutive month for nickel-based product prices to rise and the third consecutive month for chromium-based product prices to move up.
