SZSE accepts BYD's application for spinning off semiconductor subsidiary

On 30 June, BYD released an announcement at Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) regarding the plan for spinning off its subsidiary BYD Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and listing the subsidiary at the Growth Enterprise Market, which was accepted by SZSE.
Founded in October 2004 as Shenzhen BYD Microelectronics Co., Ltd., BYD is mainly engaged in research and development, production as well as sales of power semiconductor, intelligent-controlled IC, intelligent sensor and optoelectronic semiconductor.
Directly holding 72.30% shares, BYD is the controlling shareholder of BYD Semiconductor. According to the proposal revealed by BYD, BYD will continue having control over BYD Semiconductor after the spin-off.
