Black silicon carbide: The prices of anthracite increased. Most producers successfully lifted the prices of metallurgical grade black silicon carbide due to the increased production cost and recovered demand. But they failed to increase the prices of abrasive grade black silicon carbide owing to the weak demand.
Green silicon carbide: Though the coke prices increased further in May, most producers kept the prices unchanged due to the firm refusals to further prices increase. Considering the increasing prices of coke, most consumers increased the purchase volume in case that producers lift the prices in the coming month.
