NDRC issues notice for inspection to review iron and steel capacity reduction results of 2021

Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) issued a notice for inspection to review iron and steel capacity reduction results of 2021.
All iron and steel enterprises in 29 provinces and regions (including the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps) except Beijing, Hainan and Tibet that could not produce crude steel and central iron and steel enterprises are on the inspection list.
The key points of inspection include capacity reduction, construction of projects, rectification results of previous inspections, check of negative reports, work system building and reduction of crude steel output in 2021.
This inspection could be divided into three stages, including self-check and rectification, onsite check and conclusion and reports. Self-check should be completed before May 15, 2021 and the onsite check will be implemented during June and July.
