Magnesite: In March, the demand for magnesite remained weak as most magnesia producers still kept in suspension due to the strict environmental inspection. However, most magnesite suppliers held the prices firm as the local government stopped the supply of explosives.
Caustic calcined magnesia: As most producers remained in suspension, the prices of this product increased due to the reduced supply.
Dead burned magnesia: Given the weak demand and reduced supply, the prices of dead burned magnesia 90%min, 96.5%min and 97%min kept steady. However, the prices of 95%min decreased as several producers resumed production and the demand shrank.
Fused magnesia: Due to the shrank demand, the prices of fused magnesia moved down further.
