1. Market Highlights
In February, CRC and HGI coil prices in Chinese leading markets recorded a down-and-up trend. They kept moving down before the Spring Festival holiday due to reducing demand and increasing stocks. However, they rebounded sharply after the holiday supported by the sharp rise of raw materials. Compared with CRC, HGI coil prices saw narrower increase due to more sufficient supply in leading markets. Markets performed inactively in the month due to the Spring Festival holiday. CRC and HGI coil export prices showed an upward trend in February supported by higher prices in Chinese domestic market and better market expectation.
In the international market, CRC and HGI coil prices in many Asian countries including Malaysia and Vietnam moved up on raw materials shortage while they fell back in India discouraged by weakening market performance.
