In domestic market, the prices decreased in the 1st half of January following the downward trend in December, but the prices stabilized with incoming holiday. For chemical grade silicon metal, prices went down as some producers hold much more stocks than they expected, and they wanted to cash out before holiday. In export market, exporters have no intention to get new orders, and the prices decreased with lower prices from upstream producers.
