India's finished steel exports up by 33.8% YOY in Apr-Nov

According to preliminary statistics released by India's JPC on December 21, boosted by improving economic activities, India's strong demand led to a 31.1% year-on-year decline in India's finished steel exports in November. India exported 597,600 tons of finished steel in November.
From April to November, India's total exports of finished steel were 7.7 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 33.8%. The surge in exports mainly benefited from China's demand. From April to November, India exported 2.05 million tons of finished steel to China, compared with only 62,100 tons in the same period last year. During the same period, India exported 1.84 million tons of finished steel to Vietnam, an increase of 7.8% YOY.
India imported 326,900 tons of finished steel in November, down by 27.3% YOY; finished steel imports from April to November were 2.7 million tons, down by 46.9% YOY.
