TISCO expects to produce 4.2 million tons of stainless steel in 2019

Recently, TISCO president Gao Xiangming disclosed that TISCO expects to produce 4.2 million tons of stainless steel in 2019, basically unchanged from 2018.
Mr. Gao explained that the company adjusted its production to reduce emission and protect environment in 2019, and expects that its discharge will drop by 70% in 2020 compared with that in 2018 so as to achieve cleaner production.
The president said that TISCO and Baowu have set up a joint venture company and are discussing cooperation with Shandong Xinhai, with a strategic cooperation agreement signed. TISCO is also actively improving production equipment and preparing to launch a new medium-and-thick plate production line. At present, it has completed the bidding, and expects to start construction in 2020. In addition, the transformation of stainless steel wire rod plant of TISCO will be completed soon. The upgrading of the original production line will guarantee the high products quality of TISCO.
