NMDC gets approval to increase iron ore production at Kumaraswamy

The Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) has approved NMDC's mining plan to enhance production of Kumaraswamy Mine from present level of 7 million tonne per annum (mtpa) to 10 mtpa in 2020-21 and 2021-22 fiscal year, an official statement said on Wednesday.
The move came after NMDC obtained the extension of four mining leases in the State of Chhattisgarh on December 17, 2019 and is likely to provide a boost to NMDC's prospects.
