Tianqi Lithium's first fully-owned overseas plant under commissioning

On December 18, 2018, Tianqi Lithium staged the inauguration ceremony for its Australia-based Kwinana lithium hydroxide plant, announcing that the plant was under commissioning and its staff was formally stationed there. As the first lithium hydroxide production facility in Australia, the Kwinana plant will use high-grade spodumene concentrate from Tianqi Lithium's Talison Greenbushes project.
The Tianqi Lithium Kwinana plant, a two-phase project, has fully automated consecutive production lines and a total annual production capacity of 48,000t of battery grade lithium hydroxide. Now the phase one program has been under commissioning and the phase two program is under construction.
