1. Market Highlights
The Chinese rare earth products did not fluctuate this month. Encouraged by firm production costs and the expectation of national reserve, separation plants raised PrNd, dysprosium and terbium products prices early this September. However, magnet plants were reluctant to hold stocks and preferred to keep cash flow under the bad condition of macroeconomy in China. As a result, the prices of PrNd products declined in latter half of September as a whole, but dysprosium and terbium products flattened out due to tight supply and firm prices of ionic rare earth concentrates. The praseodymium oxide 99.5%min, cerium oxide 99.9%min, yttrium oxide 99.999%min and europium oxide 99.999%min prices moved flat this month, while lanthanum oxide 99.9%min prices declined slight due to heavy stocks. The domestic market witnessed slow buying activities through the whole month of September.
