174 key enterprises in Hebei on the list of emission reduction and pollution abatement

According to Hebei Environmental Protection Department, Hebei will implement ultra-low emission and further pollution abatement projects in key industries including iron and steel, coking and coal-fired power generation in the next three years. 174 enterprises are on the list of emission reduction and pollution abatement based on preliminary decision.
Hebei has carried out three rounds of investigations on local steel, coking, power and other industries for getting a clear picture of the pollution discharge at local key enterprises and determining the emission reduction project for the next three years. A total of 77 steel enterprises and 46 coking enterprises will carry out such transformation. 51 Coal-fueled power plants in Hebei already completed the ultra-low emission transformation and will launch furhter pollution abatement project this year.
Hebei plans to execute favorable policies such as credit tax for investment, reduction or exemption of environmental protection tax for enterprises that implement the projects.
