South Korea levies AD duty on silicomanganese from Vietnam, Ukraine and India

On December 15, 2017, Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam disclosed that South Korean Ministry of Finance started to levy anti-dumping duty on silicomanganese under Customs Tariff No. 7202.30.0000 imported from India, Vietnam and Ukraine. In particular, AD duty imposed on Vietnam, and Ukraine was 4.06% and 19.06% respectively and that on India was 7.48%-19.06%. The determination will takes effect from the day when the official notice is announced and will last for 5 years. The investigation period was from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, and that of injury was from January 1, 2013 to June 30, 2016.
On December 7, 2016, KTC initiated anti-dumping investigation on silicomanganese imported from India, Vietnam and Ukraine based on the application lodged by Dongbu Metal, Simpac Metal, Simpac Metalloy, Taekyung Industrial. On May 31, 2017, South Korea began to levy 7.48% of temporary anti-dumping duty on Vietnamese exporters/producers. On September 14, 2017, South Korea made final anti-dumping determination on the products of the above 3 countries.
