On December 7, 2016, KTC initiated anti-dumping investigation on silicomanganese imported from India, Vietnam and Ukraine based on the application lodged by Dongbu Metal, Simpac Metal, Simpac Metalloy, Taekyung Industrial. On May 31, 2017, South Korea began to levy 7.48% of temporary anti-dumping duty on Vietnamese exporters/producers . On September 14, 2017, South Korea made final anti-dumping determination on the products of the above 3 countries.

The determination will takes effect from the day when the official notice is announced and will last for 5 years .
