Power supply cut off for Luoyang abrasives companies due to stricter environmental protection

On the morning of December 13th, Luoyang Environmental Pollution Prevention and Control Office issued an emergency notice that power supply will be cut off from December 12, 2017 to March 15, 2018 for companies that carried out peak-shifting production and those who suspended or limited production from industries of cement, ceramic, nonferrous smelting and soldering, etc
According to the notice, companies that are required to make peaking-shifting production from November 15, 2017 to March 15, 2018, including sintered brick plants, refractory enterprises and casting enterprises using coal, coal gas or carbon as fuel, will experience power outage till March 15, 2018. And the same goes to companies which are required to limit production from November 15, 2017 to March 15, 2018, including nonferrous smelting enterprises, silica enterprises, fused alumina enterprises, abrasives companies (excluding those specially approved by government) and so on.
According to the notice, related companies shall be informed before the power outage during which the brake pull-rods will be kept by the power-supply institution.
During the power outage, if the production electricity and household electricity are inseparable, companies can cut off power or shut down production equipment and production lines in order to limit production and guarantee people's livelihood to the maximum extent. In addition, companies shall get approval from local government before performing maintenance on equipment with power on during the period and cut offer power after the maintenance.
