WISCO keeps NGO electrical steel prices stable for January production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 15 Dec 17 - Hubei province-based non-grain oriented electrical steel producer WISCO announced to maintain its list prices stable for January production on 12th December. The price for 50WW800 0.5mm*1,200mm*C is about RMB6,000/t (USD908/t) VAT included.
According to a source from the company, NGO electrical steel prices in major markets of China have been stable recently after the continuous decrease in previous months. The current mainstream market price of 50WW800 0.5mm*1,200mm*C from WISCO is around RMB5,900/t (USD893/t) VAT included in Shanghai, stable this month. "The list price can be lower based on customers' contract volumes," he said.
There are eight production lines of non-grain oriented electrical steel in WISCO with a regular monthly output of 70,000-80,000t. "We are under regular production now," he said, adding that they normally have no stocks in hand and customers need to place orders in advance with the lead time of around one month.
Located in Wuhan, Hubei province, WISCO is a major producer of non-grain oriented electrical steel in China with an annual production capacity of around 1.2 million tonnes. The company mainly produces grades of 250-1,300.
