Yunnan Copper Science & Technology puts vacuum distillation production line of selenium into production

Recently, Yunnan Copper Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd. (“Yunnan Copper Science & Technology” or the “Company”) announced that the quality of the selenium products produced by the vacuum distillation production line which was put into trail production in early May have improved again, marking that the largest selenium production line in Yunnan province has been put into operation successfully.
It is reported that the Company started construction of the selenium production line on April 17 and conducted single unit trail running on May 16. On May 18, the Company carried out the loaded test run; On May 19, the Company completed the construction and commenced the trail production, which was one month ahead of the construction schedule.
After more than ten years of technological innovation, equipment improvement and equipment upgrading, the Company now has an annual production capacity of 200t of selenium products and becomes the largest selenium production base in Yunnan province. The company independently developed the selenium vacuum purification and industrialization technology which won the silver award of the Fifteenth National Invention Exhibition and the second prize of Chinese Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and technology invention.
It is understood that their Company’s output of selenium products will rise to over 300tpy after the completion of the new selenium production line. In addition, an obvious improvement and optimization will be seen in its output, scale and mechanization degree.
