The rare earth market in December had been divided by the rare earth bidding meeting on 13 December: Before the meeting, the market price rose rapidly and the consumers purchased the materials actively, while the market became quiet with slow buying activities afterwards
. The PrNd oxide, terbium oxide failed to bid as the bidding prices were lower than the market prices . In addition, end users did not accepted higher prices, which hindered prices of PrNd, dysprosium and terbium products further rising . During the bidding meeting, yttrium oxide, europium oxide, erbium oxide and other 7 species of products were successfully concluded, so the market prices did not changed much this month . Otherwise, the North Rare Earth Group continued to raise their offers of lanthanum and cerium products further this month, the consumers gradually accepted higher price, adopting with a hand-to-mouth strategy.
