Prices for Chinese vanadium products started the new round of substantial increase in early December and trended to be stable in late December
Affected by continuously increased prices in China, export prices for Chinese vanadium products went up further substantially in December. After entering mid-December, export prices started to go up dramatically, but overseas customers watched the spot market on the sideline, resulting in limited purchases . Thus, China’s export prices for vanadium products were gradually stabilized in late December with limited export transactions.
. The spot marekt continued to see tight supply in late December, but with the approaching the Spring Festival, producers didn’t raise their operating rate substantially . Affected by environmental inspections and other factors, many producers halted production, making prices for the material continue to go up substantially in early December . Facing continuously increased prices in China, downstream consumers mainly watched the spot market on the sideline and transactions slowed down in the spot market, making prices for the material trend to be stable in late December . Prices for ferrovanadium 50%min went up by about 11 . 1% at the end of December while those for ferrovanadium nitride and vanadium pentroxide flake 98%min rose by 5 . 4% and 13 . 3% compared with those in November respectively.Affected by continuously increased prices in China, export prices for Chinese vanadium products went up further substantially in December.
