The Chinese manganese flake market was relatively quiet in October. Prices for the material held stable after witnessing a small decline at the beginning of the month as a consequence of increased spot supply. Domestic spot supply tightened gradually with steel mills completing tenders at the end of the month and producers held their prices firm. Export prices for the material witnessed no sharp fluctuations this month as traders adjusted quotations slightly in order to mitigate risks despite the devaluation of the yuan.
