Although it was traditional busy season in October, while the Chinese rare earth market seemed flat and the downstream demand did not revive much as expected
. On the contrary, the prices of PrNd, dysprosium and terbium showed downtrend in former half of October, which were different from the past five years . The prices of rare earth oxide still hovered at low levels, resulting in continuously low operation rate in separation industry . Besides, the NdFeB magnet producers still took hand-to-mouth strategies and released their fund pressure by holding small volumes of stocks . The metal plant also reduced their outputs and tried their best to reduce stocks . All in all, the domestic rare earth market in October kept quiet and relatively flat.
