Influenced by the Spring Festival holiday, steel mills have started purchasing ferrochrome consecutively in late January, but deals remained limited in February
The price for chrome ores slipped this month owing to the decreasing prices in the overseas market and the port price for spot materials also moved down under pressure in China. However, the decline was limited as alloy plants rebuilt stocks during the Spring Festival and the port stocks were in tight supply . The price was maintained stable with rare deals of ferrochrome as ferrochrome smelters were cautious to rebuild stocks after the holiday.
