Affected by the Spring Festival holiday, Chinese rare earth market witnessed slow buying activities in early and mid-February, and the market revived a bit in both domestic and overseas markets after the participates returned to the market in late this month

In domestic market, lanthanum oxide, cerium oxide and yttrium oxide prices kept stable, while dysprosium products, terbium oxide, and europium oxide prices slid continuously, and only PrNd oxide price rose slightly due to increasing inquiries in late February . In overseas market, lanthanum oxide and cerium oxide prices declined and European and North American market witnessed relatively stable prices but rare deals . Generally speaking, rare earth market in both home and abroad continued to run slowly and confronted soft downstream demand either . As it comes to the March, the market is predicted to revive a bit in purchasing activities . Taking the dim economic situation into consideration, the market price will not fluctuate much.
