Chinese calcium-silicon export prices increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 21 Dec 15 - Sources reported that Chinese calcium-silicon 55-30 export prices increase to USD1,500-1,550/t FOB China, up by USD10/t from those of two weeks ago
An exporter in Shanxi stated that Chinese calcium-silicon export market sees increased deals. Currently, their mainstream prices for calcium-silicon 55-30 are around USD1,550/t FOB China, up by USD20/t from those of early December. “We have signed about 300t of the material at USD1,550/t FOB China through Shanghai port so far this month . The export market becomes more active than last month,” said the sources. He confirmed that they also increased by RMB200/t (USD31/t) for domestic prices to RMB9,100/t (USD1,405/t) EXW D/A this week.
With an annual production capacity of 33,000t, they plan to produce about 2,700t this month at full capacity, unchanged from that of November, having no stocks at hand now. Their export volume was about 1,000t last month.
An exporter in Ningxia reported that Chinese calcium-silicon export prices go up slightly. Currently, they increased by USD30/t to USD1,540/t FOB China compared with that of late November . “The transportation cost from Ningxia to Shanghai port is higher than Tianjin port, so we increased the prices accordingly,” said the source . They have signed about 700t of the material at above prices level so far this month.
With an annual production capacity of 15,000t, they plan to produce about 1,200t this month, without much change from that of November, holding no stocks at present.
