Youfa Steel maintains welded pipe export prices unchanged

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Dec 15 - Located in Tianjin, Tianjin Youfa Steel Pipe Group Co., Ltd, a major welded pipe producer in North China keeps its export offers for welded pipe unchanged at this moment. However, as the demand from oversea buyers is weak, the mill foresees a dim welded pipe export market.
A source from the mill tells Asian Metal that his current export price of welded pipe Q195-235 Φ114.3mm*3.75mm is USD320/t FOB Tianjin Port with freight container, unchanged compared with that of last week.
The source discloses to Asian Metal that his export prices have been unchanged in recent two weeks, but they have decreased a lot since Q3 without the strong support from international demand. He tells Asian Metal that the current average export price is USD40/t lower than that in late September. Moreover, he tells Asian Metal that many foreign traders will start to enjoy their holidays for Charismas and New Year in late December and his sales performance is likely to become worse in following several weeks. His export volume in November was 8,000t, and he is afraid that it will be two third of that level by the end of this month. He has no confidence in the welded pipe export market outlook.
