The sluggish downstream market resulted in the soft Chinese vanadium market and sliding prices in December. Some suppliers were in a hurry to withdraw fund and clear stocks as it’s near the end of the year, and they were willing to accept large prices declines to stimulate sales. Most producers have already been in deficit. Turning to the Chinese vanadium export market, considering that overseas buyers began to make purchasing plans for Q1 in 2015, the market saw increasing inquiries. The competition among exporters was fierce and the transaction prices remained at the bottom.
