With operating rates picking up but demand shrinking, Chinese manganese flake prices fell rapidly in November, sinking to RMB12,000-12,300/t (USD1,928-1,977/t) by the end, which represented a total decrease of RMB600/t (USD96/t) over the month
The manganese alloy market remained subdued and manganese ore demand was soft throughout the month, although the price experienced some fluctuations with changing stock levels in the spot market and new material arriving. In the middle of November, the Australian manganese ore 43-44% market saw more new materials arrive at ports; however, downstream users held adequate stocks in hand and were in no rush to purchase material, so the price fell by RMB0.2/mtu (USD0.03/mtu) to RMB32 . 3-33.3/mtu (USD5 . 20-5.36/mtu) . In the second half of November, the price remained stable with the market showing no significant movement.
