The Chinese titanium market showed little improvements in August, with price rise of titanium tetrachloride and titanium sponge but continuing weak demand and activities on other downstream products
Prices of ferrotitanium 70%min in European market slightly moved up in August due to tight supply of titanium scrap which resulted in rising prices and higher production costs to a number of ferrotitanium producers. Exports of Russian ferrotitanium experienced price dropping as foreign markets reduced consumptions because of the summer break when consumers were reluctant to purchase . However, the materials in India were seen a small rise on price driven by the exchange rate fluctuations.
