Support from production cost was not strong enough this month, so ex-works prices of HGI coil for December production from most big steel mills in China were hard to be increased. In addition, materials with the popular grades were sometimes running at low levels. In consequence, prices of HGI coil recorded a stable trend in leading markets like Shanghai and Guangzhou. In view of the soft demand from downstream industries and relatively tight supply, insiders deem HGI coil price is likely to be stable in the coming month.
