We are one of the three biggest chrome salts producers, and the only listing company (603067) in the name of chrome salt products in China. We engage in extract and purity of chrome ore and produce sodium dichromate, potassium dichromate, chrome trioxide, chrome xide green, basic chromic sulfate and so no, with business both at home and abroad. Asian Metal: Mr. Xie, please analyze the impact of environmental inspections on chrome salts industry.

Almost all the chemical industries have been affected by the recent environmental inspections, especially the chrome salts industry, linked to dangerous chemical heavy metals. Domestic chrome salts companies are basically cutting production appropriately and in the process of comprehensive investigation of security risks. To chrome salt companies, environmental inspection is actually a wake-up call, which helps to improve the competitiveness for those who have the ability to upgrade their environmental equipment, and gradually cleans out those unable to upgrade.

Asian Metal: Mr. Xie, can you tell me which is the major factor of prices for chrome salts, supply and demand relationship or cost of raw material?

When things are normal, cost of raw material basically plays a decisive role in product prices and the supply and demand relation (can be understood as inventory) is basically to slow down or speed up the price change. Due to the special nature of the chrome salt industry, I recommend that customers having business of chrome oxide green pay more attention to the supply and demand relation of the material, especially the operating rate of chrome oxide green plants.

Asian Metal: Based on current market conditions, what is your opinion about chrome salt trend in Q4 2017?

The chrome salt supply is expected to be tight in Q4 affected by environmental inspections and prices for the material are anticipated to rise in the future affected by factors of purchase cost and environmental protection.
