As the largest producing and consuming country of ferrosilicon, the change in supply and demand in China has constantly attracted much attention worldwide. After going through the sharp rise in the first half of 2008, ferrosilicon price has begun turning down since June. Having purchased a lot of ferrosilicon in April and May, consumers are watching and waiting for the market currently. Some Industry insiders believe that ferrosilicon market will not improve before the Olympic Games. But which way would the market go after that? Will it go down further or turn around strongly when consumers come back to the market?

Meanwhile, there are many factors affecting ferrosilicon market. For example, the increasing production cost from energy sources, the strengthening in environmental protection, the outspread of magnesium industry, the rapid increase of Chinese crude steel output and the relevant export duty and price limit.

At this forum, all individuals and organizations related to ferrosilicon business will be invited, including relevant agencies, policy makers, professors, and researchers.

The forum will discuss ferrosilicon production, China's import and export policies, environmental protection, international supply and demand, international competitions, transfer of industries, product substitution and trade barriers.

The forum is committed to building a global communication platform for ferrosilicon production, recovery, processing, trading, consumption and research.
