End of Summit
Ferroalloys Summit 2008 has come to a successful close at Swissotel, Beijing, on April 25, 2008.
The summit, among others, brought together more than 200 delegates from 140 companies who exchanged their ideas and experiences on opportunities and challenges being posed in the ferroalloys industry.
Mr. Zhubaoliang, Chief Economist and Director General of Economic Forecasting Dept. of China State Information Center, Mr Yang Yongxin, Director of Industry Policy Dept. of China National Development and Reform Commission and Mr Qi Xiangdong, Vice Secretary General of China Steel Industry Association have made speeches on China Economic Analysis and Forecast for 2008, Chinese Ferroalloys Industry: Policy, Trend and Impact and Prospect of Chinese Steel Industry.
Mr T.S. Sundaresan, Secretary General of The Indian Ferro Alloy Producers' Association, gave a speech of An Outlook of Indian Steel and Ferroalloys Industry, and he also actively participated in the discussion for the future of Chinese ferroalloys industry.
Intensive discussions were focused on the prospects of ferroalloys industry, the influence on the future market from national policies and the trends of Chinese domestic and export market. It is generally accepted that prompted by the strong demand from steel industry and the price increase from raw material, ferroalloys market will generally keep an upward trend in the future.
