End of Summit

Responding to the industry demand, Asian Metal successfully organized Minor Metals Summit 2006 at Swissotel, Beijing, China, from October 24-26, 2006. The summit brought together more than 200 delegates from 150 companies worldwide and deliberated extensively about developments in the minor metals industry, including opportunities and new challenges.

Industry regulators and the academia were not left behind as Mr. Zhu Baoliang, Chief Economistand Director General of Economic Forecasting Dept. of China State Information Center JiaKang, Director General of Research Institute of Fiscal Science, China Ministry of Finance

Mr. Yang Huanwen, Secretary General, the Nonferrous Metals Society of China and Mr. Meng Shukun, Secretary General, China Magnesium Association, also made contributions. In all, around 20 speakers in management positions from major industry players made presentations.

Around 10 journalists from world well-known news agencies like Xinhua News Agency, Reuters,Inter-fax and Bloomberg covered the summit.
