Asian Metal visits Dowa Electronics, Wing and Nichia
On December 12, 2018, Asian Metal's Analyst Shelly Liu visited Dowa Electronics Materials Co., Ltd., Wing Co., Ltd. and Nichia Corporation and was warmly welcomed by the three Japanese companies.
On the morning of December 12, Shelly Liu paid a visit to Dowa Electronics Materials Co., Ltd. and met with Shigeyasu Shirasaka, Deputy Director of Semiconductor Division. Shelly Liu gave an introduction of the production, sales and application of indium in China over the past two years as well as a reasonable forecast of indium price trend at the end of the year. Shigeyasu Shirasaka said that Dowa first put forward the idea of "Urban Metal Mine". The company produces nearly 370tpy of indium, most of which is produced from the recycling process. Shigeyasu Shirasaka highly appreciated the information service provided by Asian Metal and expressed interest in attending the 12th Indium & Bismuth & Germanium & Gallium Forum to be held by Asian Metal in Zhuhai on 14-15 March, 2019.

On the afternoon of the day, Shelly Liu visited Wing Co., Ltd. and met with Chairman Kitajiri Yoshiharu and Wakaaki Uchi from overseas business office. Shelly Liu gave an introduction to the status quo of the supply and demand for gallium metal and forecasted the price trend for the future. Wakaaki Uchi said that Wing is mainly engaged in production of construction materials and several metal materials including gallium, indium, Germanium, aluminum hydroxide and related downstream products. Wing is also the agency for Zhuhai SEZ Fangyuan Inc. in Japan with an annual trading volume of around 200,000t of gallium metal. Wakaaki Uchi claimed that Wing uses Asian Metal's price information as a reference to its gallium metal business and he highly appreciated the information service offered by Asian Metal and, at the same time, expressed strong interest in attending the 12th Indium & Bismuth & Germanium & Gallium Forum to be held by Asian Metal in Zhuhai on 14-15 March, 2019.

Later that day, Shelly Liu visited Nichia Corporation and met with Hirofumi Mori, Head of Purchasing Department and SLG Division, Shingo Sonoda, Subsection Chief of Sales Department of SLG Division, and Hiroyuki Takashima, Subsection Chief of Ga-series Infrared Manufacturing Department of SLG Division. Shelly Liu gave a detailed introduction to Asian Metal's information service; Shingo Sonoda introduced Nichia's global business, especially the high purity gallium business. Hirofumi Mori expressed strong interest in the information service offered by Asian Metal and promised to attend the 12th Indium & Bismuth & Germanium & Gallium Forum to be held by Asian Metal in Zhuhai on 14-15 March, 2019.
