Xiamen FD visits Asian Metal

On November 24th, 2014, Joy Lee, Vice GM of Xiamen FD Imp & Exp Co., Ltd., visited Asian Metal and shared ideas on the silicon metal and manganese flake markets trend with Susan Yin, senior analyst of silicon metal and Frank Chen, analyst of manganese flake of Asian Metal.

Joy noted that Chinese domestic silicon metal prices moved down recently. The prices for 5-5-3 dropped sharply and the prices for higher grade silicon metal also saw slight decrease. Chinese silicon metal export market was quiet recently, and the market was under fierce competition in prices.

As for manganese flake market, Joy believed that the prices are likely to decrease further in the near future for abundant supply but weak demand from end users. However, she added that they will keep watching the market and seek for chances to further develop the manganese flake export business.
