Asian Metal visits Hunan Bismuth and Hunan Jinwang Bismuth

Asian Metal senior analyst, Victor Hoo, visits Chenzhou, Hunan on Jul 12th to look into bismuth markets.
In the morning, Victor Hoo came to Hunan Bismuth Co., Ltd, the largest supplier of bismuth in global markets. Vice General Manager Lei Xiaohua, Marketing Minister Chen Qingjiang and Sales Manager Liu Hao and Caoguang met with Victor and had a detailed discussion into the current bismuth market performance and future development. Currently, bismuth demand is weak in both China domestic and overseas markets while the production keeps increasing in China, which pushes bismuth prices to slide greatly; many participants realize that it is necessary to control the production and support bismuth prices at a rational level which would avoid losses to the whole industry. General Manager Li Guilong also talked with Victor Hoo sometime later. And Mr. Lei hopes the Bismuth Association which would be established in the coming August may unite the bismuth suppliers for mutual benefits.
In the afternoon, Victor Hoo visited Hunan Jinwang Bismuth and viewed the production lines of bismuth oxide and other salts accompanied by Zhuang Yongkai, Vice General Manager. Jinwang has a new plant under construction which would increase current capacity of bismuth to 4,000 tons annually, to be completed late this year. Though its output is not the largest for either bismuth ingot or oxide, Jinwang has built a full production chain, streaming from ore exploitation to bismuth pharmacy and thus could get more competitive in bismuth industry. Jinwang Bismuth could still rely on some regular customers while bismuth market is in low performance but also suffers from the low prices. Later, Victor Hoo also met Vice Director of the Board Hou Min and discussed the markets.
Asian Metal invited Hunan Bismuth and Jinwang Bismuth to attend the upcoming 7th Minor Metals Summit to be held in Sanya, Hainan on Oct 24-26th.
