Business Development Consultant from American Indium Corporation, Mr. Kirk Johnson and Harry Nijssen, president of Photonic Sense GmbH reported on the future market of global indium-germanium markets and the impact of rising germanium price to European market respectively. Then, Mr. Feng Jian, marketing manager of China Stainless Exchange introduced the application of long-term screen trading in futures market of indium.

In the afternoon, reporters continued making great reports on indium and germanium industries as Ms Feng Juncong, deputy secretary general from China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Indium Committee and Mr. Sun Yun from Chinese Solar Energy Society Photovoltaic Professional Committee made rational analysis on the indium market and the industry of solar power cells with CIGS technology. Furthermore, Mr. Vermeiren Ludo,Supply Chain Manager of Umicore Co., Ltd. and Mr. Su Xiaoping, general manager of Beijing Guojinghui Infrared Optical Technology Co., Ltd shared the application situation of germanium material in commence and micro-electronics aspects respectively.

Jiangsu SYV Group Ltd, China Germanium Co., Ltd held an dinner party after the forum. Participants believe that, on the contrary of the dim situation in 2009, indium and germanium regained rebound trends, also the attention from investors, and become the “metal star” with the skyrocketing prices since the end of 2010. Furthermore, the demand for the two materials was likely to surge with supports of active investors and the high expectation on the market. With the booming development of Chinese panel TV industry, the global demand for indium looks to further increase, accelerated by the repaid upgrade of CIGS, and the germanium industry is going to face wonderful opportunities for extending industry chain based on China’s policy for “optical fiber industry” and developments of space solar industry and infrared industry.

After successfully holding forums of indium and germanium over the past two years, Asian Metal would like to thank all companies involved in this forum for their significant and marvelous support, and we will never give up our faith of promoting the development of indium and germanium industry. Sincerely, we invite every organization or personnel that interested in the industry to come to the next forum, to be the witnesses of bright future of indium and germanium industries!
