Fugu's annual magnesium production down by 23.3%

China's Fugu county achieved a total production value from industrial enterprises above designated size of RMB128.57 billion (USD17.74 billion) in 2023, down by 12.3% from the previous year, with the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size up by 10.1%, according to the local statistics bureau.
In 2023, Fugu produced 99.31 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 6.5% YoY, 14.58 million tonnes of washed coal, up by 12.5% YoY, 9 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 19.4% YoY, 368,700 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 56.2% YoY, 678,400 tonnes of ferroalloys, down by 22.6% YoY, and 365,500 tonnes of magnesium metal, down by 23.3% YoY.
